Since we're a very international community, I thought this would be helpful for all of us:

The World Clock

Just find your city, state, or country (or just whatever's closest to you) and compare that place's time to New York's time on the table. All meetings called on this board are in EST time because Narn lives in New York. Good luck! Yin-yang

We used this site a lot when my ship was out on deployment so that we had a better idea of the time where our family was.

The title of this thread reminded me of a very expensive and incredibly project happening right now called the "Clock of the Long Now." It will eventually be a 60-foot tall clock that will keep perfect time for the next ten thousand years!

It will be incredibly easy to repair and maintain, is powered by expanding and contracting metal (natural temperature flux), and will keep track of the inner six planets of the solar system in their orbits. It will be built in the mountains in Colorado, I believe.

There's an entire website about the clock as well as other projects by the same group. It's amazing, though, to think that ten thousand years from now this clock will (hopefully) still be around. It'd be like the pyramids, in a way. How wonderful!
