I'm not sure if this belongs in the Spell Zone or somewhere else, so a moderator can feel free to move it where they feel it fits.

Lately I've been experimenting with a little game involving a die, or for those who feel more comfortable, dice. I try to focus on a certain roll (such as a six) and influence the die to land on my number. When I tried this, the first few rolls were unsuccessful; when I continued, I seemed to get the hang of it more and more as my "predictions" came true.

I'm not really sure if what I was doing was predicting the outcome, or influencing it. I believe that I was actually influencing the rolls because that was initially what I set out to do; I focused my efforts on the die (or dice) landing on the side I chose instead of allowing images or thoughts to filter into my mind.

I'm going to keep practicing, in any case. I was just wondering what other people thought and if they've tried it before and if they did, what their impressions and their outcomes were.

I know of Malice's fire game but am curious if anybody plays/practices with another form or with a game they've made up or stumbled upon (and would feel comfortable sharing, perhaps?)

John Donne (1572 - 1631)

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

I do this all the time with coin tosses.
My brother can't figure out how I always get it to land on tails.
I've never tried dice. I think I will!

I'll start trying a simple coin toss and see what happens.

I've just spent ten minutes trying to work out how you can determine if you are predicting or influencing the outcome and I just can't think of a way. I'm sure someone more scientifically minded would be able to suggest something but I'm really interested which one you are doing. Do update if you figure it out!

Trayas, you don't have to go to Vagas. I knew an older witch who could move small objects with her mind. Said witch would periodically go to Crete to gamble with her her nephew. They always came back as winners.

AutumnRose, I don't see how you could separate influence from prediction.

Aside from just curiousity, would it make a difference in usage if it was influence or prediction?

Just wondering.

Good idea, will be a much shorter flight too.
